Most of these competitors have never performed on a salsa stage before and have been dancing for less than a year. This is a freestyle dance - they did not know the song they would be dancing to until the competition evening. They will now qualify to go to the final round where they will have to choreograph a routine. Toronto Dance Salsa is Canada's largest dance school where absolute beginners soon become seasoned salsa dancers.
