Meet Muhammad, a proud U.S. citizen As-salaamu alaykum (peace be to you), I'd like you to meet Muhammad. Muhammad moved to the U.S. from Pakistan 9 years ago, seeking a better life for his family and dreaming of becoming a U.S. citizen. He worked hard, stayed out of trouble, did all the things you're supposed to do. But something went wrong when Muhammad applied for citizenship. For three years he waited for a response to his citizenship application. Muhammad even asked a local congressman for help, but still he waited... Until CAIR took his case. CAIR took swift legal action to end the delay that stopped him from fulfilling his dream. As a result of CAIR's work, Muhammad was sworn in as a U.S. citizen last year. Here's what Muhammad has to say about his case: CAIR has helped hundreds like Muhammad achieve their dream of being able to fully participate in American democracy. Because of the cases CAIR has taken, they are now able to vote, travel freely, and live the American dream. Now we need your help to continue helping community members, like Muhammad, who dream of becoming U.S. citizens. Please donate today to help us reach our $180,000 quarterly goal to keep working for the American Muslim community. DONATE TO CAIR: https://www.cair.com/support/ It's likely that someone you know, or maybe even you, has been affected by citizenship delay or other bias issues. We want to keep helping the community with these problems, but need your financial support to do so. Thank you for your support and may God bless you.
