The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has expressed concern over the FBI transcending the "constitutional boundaries" of U.S. citizens, describing it as a "consistent pattern." "We're certainly concerned about numerous reports that we get (about) the FBI going beyond what we believe are constitutional boundaries," Corey Saylor, legislative director for the CAIR, said in an exclusive interview with Press TV's U.S. Desk on Saturday. A Muslim U.S. citizen has filed a lawsuit against the FBI for breaching his constitutional rights by secretly planting a GPS tracking device in his car. Twenty-year-old Yasir Afifi was alerted of the tracking device by a mechanic last October. When Afifi removed the GPS device from his car, "FBI agents came and asked for its return," he said. The CAIR director said that they "similarly filed a suit against the FBI for placing an informant in a mosque in southern California and the violations that resulted because of that."
