(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/15/13) -- There was a court hearing this morning in Virginia on whether Gulet Mohamed's lawsuit challenging his placement on the no-fly list will go forward. The hearing before Judge Trenga was to determine how the trial court proceeds in light of a recent decision in Mohamed's favor. CAIR is representing Mohamed in the lawsuit. Mohamed, a U.S. citizen, is challenging the ability of the government to prevent - via the no-fly list - Americans from returning to the United States. Additionally, he is seeking a constitutionally-adequate process to challenge the basis for his inclusion on the list. The hearing before Judge Anthony Trenga took place at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria, Va.
